Fundada em Janeiro de 1999, pelo Maestro Vagner G. Franco, que movido pelo amor à causa de Deus sentiu em seu coração, um forte sentimento para a salvação de almas para o reino de Deus.
A Orquestra de Metais Gênesis, tendo sua primeira formação composta por dez músicos prontamente iniciou seus primeiros ensaios com grande alegria, sentindo o poder de Deus logo no início. Em apenas dois meses o número de componentes triplicou, atualmente são vinte e seis componentes aproximadamente.
Durante esses anos a Orquestra Gênesis tem mantido o seu propósito de levar o evangelho à muitos lugares através do louvor, alcançando pessoas que necessitam conhecer o verdadeiro amor de Deus.
A Orquestra Gênesis também faz parte do Departamento de Evangelismo da Igreja Ev. Assembléia de Deus em Curitiba, e podemos ver o propósito do Senhor Jesus sendo realizado na vida de cada componente que tem sido edificado pelas grandes obras que o Senhor tem feito através deste grupo de músicos que iniciaram seu ministério fazendo evangelismo e missões.
